Driving to Yellowknife
When driving to Yellowknife from Edmonton, take the Mackenzie Highway (Alberta 35/NWT 1) which will lead you all the way to the Northwest Territories' border. Shortly afterward, join Highway 3 towards Fort Providence, which will bring you directly to Yellowknife. The journey from Edmonton, Alberta is about 1,500 km.
